Special Reason ~ #TGIFC100 Mercedes Inspired

Hi everyone! Here we are & it's Friday again! Yay!!! If you are new to my blog,  my name is Carolynn and I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am so super duper excited to be posting with the TGIF team today for their 100th design team challenge! It is an honour to be a part of this talented group of stampers. What better way to share that honour than with a Mercedes Weber inspired project?
Mercedes has such a wonderful array of inspirational projects over on her blog. To choose just one is not an easy task. Saying that, I fell in love with this gorgeous card of hers...
I love the individually cut flowers on Mercedes' card, as well as the dry embossed background, and the nicely wrapped twine. If you were to ask me, all of these little intricate details are what make this card so fabulous! I'm not sure if my card will be much of a comparison. Saying that, I wanted to change it up a bit & make it my own. Here is what I came up with, I hope I can make Mercedes proud!
In hindsight, I think I could have added a bit of bling! I love that gold glimmer butterfly on Mercedes' card. Regardless, I am pleased with how today's project turned out. Happy 100th Birthday TGIF! Who would have ever thought I'd be celebrating with this team for their 100th post? I am forever grateful! Be sure to check out the TGIF challenge site this week! The team has so much inspiration to share! We would also love to have you join us for this week's celebration, so stamp and craft away!

Here are some quick links to the TGIF Design Team's personal blogs so that you can hop along and view each and every project up close! The team decided to celebrate #100 with a blog roll! Grab a coffee and check out all of the amazing posts!

Be Inspired Blog Hop ~ Urban Underground

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Urban Underground Blog Hop! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander's blog. I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you have been hopping along, you most likely arrived here via Maike Ulbrich's blog. I am sure her project this week is spectacular as usual! I hope you enjoy all of the "Urban Underground" projects this week! Make sure to click on the next button at the end of this post so that you can carry along and be inspired by everyone in the hop!

When I heard we were doing an Urban Underground themed hop I knew right away that this was going to mean a scrapbook layout for me! These pictures were taken over 10 years ago, but they have been stuck in my mind, as this was one of the sweetest memories I have of our son helping Daddy in the yard. The Urban Underground Papers as well as the Urban District Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! fit the theme here perfectly.

I am always happy to get my most precious memories documented and in albums. I am a traditional scrapbooker at heart. Stampin' Up! products are great for memory keeping don't you think? If you have any questions about today's layout feel free to message me. Otherwise, I don't think I have much to explain here as a picture speaks louder than words! Now let's hop along to see what Nadine Hößrich has been up to! Click on the next button below to check out her Urban Underground project for this week!

Stampin' Up! Waterfall Card ~ #TGIFC99 Baby! Oh Baby!

Hi everyone & welcome to my blog! For those new here, my name is Carolynn & I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The project I have to share with you today is a fun one! It's "Baby! Oh Baby" time over at TGIF Challenges this week! I know of quite a few people in my life that are either expecting a baby, or just had a baby, so this theme was perfect for me. Please join in the fun over at TGIF! Upload a baby themed project to your blog or social media site and share it with us! Every week a favourite is chosen by our team & the winner gets bragging rights! It's so much fun really!
For this week's card I decided to try out an old favourite of mine, I made this sweet waterfall card...
As cute as this card may appear in this photo I have taken, I really felt you needed to see it in action! I therefore put this video tutorial together for you! Check it out!

It's so much cooler to see it in real life hey? Aren't these cards just so much fun? There are so many variants of them out there. The whole folding technique might seem intimidating at first, but these cards really do come together quite simply.
As far as my sentiment, I stamped it on the inside of my card. I chose a saying from the Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures Stamp Set. I figure this card could really serve as a "Congratulations On Your Baby Card" , or a "Baby's 1st Birthday Card", all depending on which sentiment you choose. Check out all of the great birthday stamps in the Balloon Adventures Set below.

Well I hope you enjoyed today's post & remember to hop on over to TGIF to check out all of the other "Baby! Oh Baby!" projects!
Thanks for stopping by!
