Stampin' Up! Christmas Bookmark Card

Well happy December! That snuck up on me! I took a wee bit of a blogger holiday with all of the hustle and bustle of the season. Saying that I feel like I am far away from being ready for Christmas, which is just around the corner in 8 more days!!! I feel anxious just thinking about it actually. Anyhow, I'm taking a short moment to share a fun card that I created during some of my downtime last month. Yes card making is truly a calming break for me from the chaos of life.

When brainstorming crafty ideas one thought that has been brewing in the back of mind these days is how I could create a dual purposed card that incorporated a take away bookmark. One that was a part of the card but that could be used on it's own after the fact. This card here is what I came up with. I was pleasantly surprised with the final outcome. I especially love that when the bookmark is tucked into the cardfront the deer appears to be standing on the freshly fallen snow. I know of quite a few bookworms who would love to receive a card like this over the holidays and I'm sure you do too.

We made a few of these one afternoon when I had a couple of friends come over to stamp. If you are in the Calgary area and are interested in arranging your own stamping, crafting, card making, or scrapping get together feel free to send me an email. I'd love to help you with all of your paper crafting needs. As for the supplies used on today's card just click on the links below. & Happy Holidays!
