Stampin' Up! Hey Chick ~ #TGIFC95 Inspiration Challenge

Happy Friday everyone! I am so SOUP-ER excited to share today's project with you all! I don't know about you, but as a nurse, I know that at this time of the year there are many cold and flu bugs going around. I have had my share! Believe me, there is nothing worse than sitting on your behind at home waiting for the world to change, or for yourself to get better! So why not make a lil something to cheer up those whom are in need of it? Because as we all know, at some point in time we all need it!

If you haven't noticed, I threw in a few puns here today! I couldn't help but customize a couple of sayings for today's projects, as the traditional get well greeting just wasn't enough for this fine hen! Making your own customized sayings is easy-oh-peasy with Stampin' Up's Labeler Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp Set. When you combine this alphabet set (that I have for you to view below) with a clear block, the possibilities are endless! You can create whatever greeting or saying that your heart desires! Cool huh?
Today's chicken was brought to you today by Sale-A-Bration! It's not a joke! I got this chicken stamp set for free and you can too! For every $60 you spend in Canada through my online Canadian Stampin' Up shop you get to choose a free Sale-A-Bration item, like the "Hey Chick" stamp set that I used on today's card! Check out all of the other chicks in this set!
Aren't those chickens SOUP-ER cute? But what's a chicken without some egg noodles and broth? Especially when you are sick! Who wouldn't love to receive a mason jar of ready to make soup when they are feeling ill? I know I would have loved some a couple of weeks back! It's okay friends, I still love ya!

If you are interested in creating your own ready to make soup for your fine friend, I have left a list of ingredients below. Just layer them from bottom up in a 1/2 quart (2 cup) jar! Your friend will be smiling for sure!

Layer your ingredients as follows:
  • 1/4 cup of red lentils
  • 2 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp chicken boullion granules
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill weed or dill seed
  • 1/8 tsp each celery seed & garlic powder
  • 1 cup medium egg noodles
  • 1 bay leaf

As for the SOUP-ER instructions, I used some of my favourite washi tape to affix them to the inside of the card! Check it out!

Wouldn't this make a cute gift ensemble to give your friend or loved one? When I heard that the inspiration challenge over at TGIF this week was a "Birds Of A Feather" theme, I couldn't resist sharing today's project with you. Click on the picture link below and it will take you over to the TGIF challenge site! The TGIF design team has more birdy inspired ideas to share with you, so make sure you check them out! You can even join in the fun too! Why not make your own project following the theme, and add your link to the TGIF site this week? We'd love to have you participate! The more the merrier!

Well thank you again so much for visiting today! I hope that you leave here inspired to make a card for your fine feathered friend, or if not maybe some chicken noodle soup! If your heart desires, I would love for you to leave me a comment! As usual, I will have all of the Stampin' Up supplies used to create today's project listed below. They link back to my online Stampin' Up shop which is open 24/7 for your shopping convenience!

Cheers!
