Stampin' Up! Jar Of Love ~ Rochelle Blok Inspired ~ #TGIFC109

Well hello Friday! Where have you been all week? Regardless of the "short work week" I have been longing for Friday to come along & I am so happy it's here! You know what Friday means? TGIF Challenge day! Yay! I have been so hyped to share today's card with you as it is inspired by the fabulous Rochelle Blok! Rochelle is on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design team this year & it's no wonder why! Her creativity is incredible! Not only am I thrilled to be on the TGIF Challenges team with her, but I am ecstatic that we are showcasing her this week as I can't say I know of anyone more deserving than her! So cheers to Rochelle! Remember to stop by the TGIF Challenges site today (if you haven't already) to oogle over all of the other Rochelle infused projects!

When showcasing our designers the idea is to check out their blog, find a favourite project, and use that as inspiration when creating your own work of art. Rochelle's blog is full of beautiful projects, I ended up choosing a couple of her cards as inspiration & turned them into a hybrid you could say! Have a look at her masterpieces below! You can see why I chose to use these Jar Of Love cards as my inspiration.

Rochelle's cards are so fabulous! I hope I do her justice! I am a wee bit nervous to present, but here is what I came up with...

I was smitten over Rochelle's choice of colour on both of these cards! As well, the gold polka dot background & the gold splatter had me absolutely twitterpated! I unfortunately didn't have the Stampin' Up!  Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate polka dot background paper that Rochelle used on her card. It is now on my wish list! I therefore had to ink outside the box! Sorry for the funny pun! lol ... In order to give myself a similar look I decided to dry emboss a polka dot background with my Stampin' Up! Large Polka Dot embossing folder & my Big Shot. I then took a Sponge Dauber & dipped it in my Versamark pad. The dauber was the perfect size for inking each of the polka dots up (one by one). I then was able to coat the dots with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder from Stampin' Up! After heating the precious dots with my Stampin' Up! Heat Tool these babies were shining like 22 Carot Gold! In order to make the gold splatter, I followed Rochelle's taking & splattered my masterpiece with my Stampin' Up! Gold Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. Those gold splatters are stunning aren't they?

The rest of this card came together quite simply! I think the most difficult task was definitely arranging those delicate flowers in such a gorgeous array! Seriously, I think I should be a florist after carrying out that task! Or maybe next time I should hire a florist! Hmmmmm .... a paper flower florist! That could be my next calling! ... Or not! Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed today's card! I truly love all of Rochelle's work, so make sure that you stop by her blog the next time you are looking for that extra bit of inspiration!
